Prevention Insurance.com’s Australian sports wagering branch, Apple iSports, is aiming to secure a substantial portion of the media enterprise, The Leg Up Australia (TLU). A letter of intent for a 45% acquisition has been inked, with the complete agreement and deal closure anticipated later this year.
This collaboration appears quite logical. Apple iSports seeks a rapid entry into the Australian market, and TLU provides an established network of horse racing enthusiasts and gamblers. TLU claims approximately 100,000 active users across its social media channels, podcasts, and wagering subscription offerings.
The arrangement will initially see Apple iSports contribute AUD $75,000 (roughly USD $50,000) to TLU. However, the promotional power of Apple iSports might prove even more beneficial to TLU. This encompasses a fresh advertising initiative slated to debut in late July 2023, intended to further elevate TLU’s visibility.
TLU’s Operations Manager, Blake Johnston, is understandably optimistic. He perceives the alliance as a potent means to broaden their racing-centric betting platform both domestically within Australia and globally. He is certain that TLU’s knowledge and understanding of the racing sphere will be a significant advantage for Apple iSports.
Jeremy Samuel, the director of the “Boost Australia” program, shared his excitement to partner with the project group to bolster their activities and champion the sector throughout Australia and the United States.
This development follows Victoria’s latest declaration of tighter gaming rules to be enacted by 2024. These actions include modifications to operational times for wagering locations, indicating a wider push to tackle gambling worries within the nation.
